Steampunk, Metal and Glass
A remark on some nature documentary about butterflies being bright as jewels made me think: what if they really were made of jewels? Perhaps like something Fabergé might have created? Or maybe metal? Silver and gold? Perhaps mechanical too? I've always been fascinated by the way light reflects off shiny things and how our eyes immediately understand them as being metallic or glass. So I tried to get to the essence of what makes us see things like that and came up with this collection of creatures
